How to Find Cheap Accommodation While Travelling

July 22, 2021 by TJ Leave a Comment

If you love to travel in the country or abroad, then the thought of where to stay will make you think. Accommodation is just like that; otherwise, the fun of travelling is wasted. One of your most significant daily expenses will be accommodation. From which a considerable amount of money can be saved. Many people prefer big hotels or cheap hostels. Again some are looking for a place to stay pretty. There are many more options for travellers, whether you are a solo traveller, family, or couple. Also there are many options available in flight booking. You can check the rates of Vistara flight, or any other fight flying towards your destination.

This article will help you find suitable accommodation, avoid being scammed and get out of the hotel mould.

Cheap hotels are not always suitable.

Many people have a fixed budget for travelling. Their goal is always to find less expensive hotels. If you choose a less expensive hotel, you can save a lot of money, but there are also some problems. Cheap hotels are always at the end of the city or in the street. So being a little far away is also a matter of concern in terms of security. Also, in very cheap hotels,

their rooms are not clean, the beds are unwashed, and the bathrooms are also dirty. So you have to be aware of the very cheap hotel, so it is not unhealthy to stay.

Stay at the hospitality exchanges.

One of the best ways to get free accommodation is to stay with someone wherever you go. Stay with a local person who will give you a free place, local information, and a place to hang out with someone. It’s a great way to save money and have a great cultural experience too. There are so many websites that do this.

The priority will be to stay in the hotel.

Hotels are the best way to stay for budget travellers. In hostel rooms, they are all shared in residential style. Many people think that hostels are ideal places for visiting young people. But that’s not right. Some people are not interested in sleeping in the dormitory. The hostel rooms are always tiny and dirty. So if you are going to visit with your family, you will never be right to stay in a hostel. Hostels are only for solo travellers or couples. The hotel is suitable for everything else. There are many hotels in the vicinity of places of interest everywhere, which saves a lot of time. Hotels have provided wifi, tour desk, bars, curtain, big bathroom, swimming pool and many more.

Stay in a furnished apartment.

There are many places where furnished apartments are rented. Staying at inexpensive hotels is relatively cheap here. These apartments come with various facilities. If you stay here, you will find all the comforts that make you feel at home. You will get all the facilities of hotels and hostels here. But if you are a solo traveller, this apartment will be pretty expensive for you to stay. Solo travellers or a couple always take double rent in the wrong way. So if you want to get the pleasure of having suitable accommodation at a low price while travelling with your family, then there is no better option for stay.

Therefore, if you can collect some points this way, you can stay in a good way at a low cost. If you are in a good place at a low cost, it is very convenient to go around.

Visiting The “Real” Jurassic Park

May 24, 2021 by TJ Leave a Comment

Before we get started with this article, we want to state the obvious by telling you that you shouldn’t get too excited. Despite all the promises about the technology of the future that were made in the first Jurassic Park movie way back in 1993, it still isn’t possible to clone dinosaurs by extracting dinosaur DNA from mosquitoes trapped in amber. We’re not convinced it would be a good idea even if it were possible – we all know how that goes in the films, and it never ends well! You can’t visit a real-world equivalent of Jurassic Park, but you can visit several of the paradise islands and locations that were used in the filming of the monster hit movies – and they’re well worth seeing.

The Jurassic Park films are some of the most successful in the history of cinema. That classic 1993 original spawned a long-lasting range of sequels that are still being made today along with multiple video games, action figures, and even big money online slots attractions like Jurassic Island and a few officially-licensed Jurassic Park slots. You wouldn’t necessarily have thought that dinosaurs would turn out to be an attraction with online slots players given that cute, fun, friendly creations like the adorable Fluffy Favourites slot tend to be more popular, but it seems that there’s nothing that the Jurassic Park franchise can’t do. It can persuade us to buy movie tickets, it can convince us to play online slots, and after you’ve read this article, it might convince you to book a vacation too!

If you like the idea of visiting a Jurassic Park filming location without the associated perils of trying to hide from an angry, rampaging tyrannosaurus Rex, these are the places you’ll want to consider. We’ll give you a clue; they’re all in Hawaii.

Halona Beach, Oahu

Oahu is one of the lesser-known Hawaiian islands, which is a real shame both for the island and for all the people who’re missing out on spending time here. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the entire world, with stunning blue waters and hideaway beaches hidden by dramatic rocky outcrops. If you’re prepared to do a little walking and climbing, you might even be able to find a beach you can call your own for the day in perfect seclusion. The beach appears in the Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom movie shortly after the volcano eruption. You’ll be pleased to hear that there’s no risk of an active volcano troubling you when you visit in real life. If you’re a real film nerd, you might consider it a bonus that several scenes from the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie were also filmed here.

Pilaa Beach, Kauai

This is another Hawaiian island location. Hawaii has done the bulk of the heavy lifting when it comes to providing locations for Jurassic Park films, so it would be possible to fit several locations into a single trip if you so desired. Like Halona Beach, it will take you a lot of sometimes-difficult walking and climbing to reach Pilaa Beach on Kauai. Also like Halona Beach, the scene waiting for you at the end of the trail makes the trip worthwhile. Swimming in the sea here can be a little dangerous, so we don’t recommend trying that, but sitting on the beach and enjoying the view is the ultimate in relaxation. Pilaa beach found itself in the news a year or two ago because Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg decided to build himself a holiday home here, but you’re unlikely to see him during your visit!

Manawaiopuna Falls, Kauai

While you’re on Kauai to check out Pilaa Beach, stay a little longer and find your way to Manawaiopuna Falls as well. It’s one of the most perfect waterfalls on the planet, emerging from the forest and taking a sheer drop into a clear blue pool. This is the very definition of the word “unspoiled” where it pertains to nature. Don’t worry about trying to pronounce the name of Hawaiian pronunciation doesn’t come easily to you – this location is so closely associated with the first-ever Jurassic Park movie that it’s become known as Jurassic Park Falls even to the locals. Getting there isn’t easy, though. The waterfall is on private land, and while the owners do permit visitors, they only allow visits by helicopter. You’ll have to book a tour with an official operator, which can be a little pricey.

Kualoa Ranch, Oahu

This is the “holy grail” of locations for Jurassic Park fans. To be totally honest, it’s the “holy grail” of locations for fans of many different movies. Hollywood production crews come here to film so often that the area is nicknamed “Hawaii’s Hollywood Backlot.” Aside from scenes from three different Jurassic Park films (the first movie along with Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, if that matters to you), scenes from Kong: Skull Island and Jumanji have been shot here. TV production crews are also a common sight, with the casts of Lost and Hawaii Five-0 among the many previous visitors. You’ll know when you’re getting close to the right place when you see a sign stuck in the ground bearing the first film’s logo, planted right next to a fallen log that Grant and the children hid behind during one of the movie’s most memorable chase scenes. Take an official tour if you want to ensure that you see everything and get all the best photo opportunities.

We suppose we could have made this article a lot shorter by foregoing all the individual locations and advising you to visit Hawaii, but where would the fun in that be? Only people who’ve never visited Hawaii think the islands are small. There are several islands, all of which have their own sights to show you and culture to enjoy. Far too many people come to Hawaii and only see the “Big Island.” In our eyes, that’s a wasted trip. Checking out the Jurassic Park filming locations means you’ll also see plenty of Hawaiian island sights that most people miss out on. The filming locations are a good excuse to make the trip, but it’s the scenery that will last longer in your memory when you get home.

March 29, 2021 by TJ Leave a Comment

Mykonos is an ideal location full of stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife, great weather, and delicious food.

Mykonos is said to be one of the best locations to choose for spending a luxurious holiday.

Most people will choose the hotels for spending holidays in Mykonos, but they do not provide the ultimate luxury and privacy.

But, here, you will know about the luxury villas in Mykonos that provide a memorable experience. They provide similar benefits to a hotel along with the added features. Here are some of the factors to choose the villas in Mykonos-

Renting a villa in Mykonos is the best way to ensure dreamy accommodation during your vacation with your family members and close ones.

The villas are the top choices for celebrities and VIP individuals when they visit Mykonos. If you want to spend a few days like a celebrity, choosing a villa-type apartment should be your first choice.

Several accommodation facilities are available there like Villa Megan, Villa Supreme, Villa Aphrodite, Villa Mariana, etc.

If you do not want to spend a huge sum of money and end up in a poor experience, choosing a villa in the initial stage of planning is the best option.

Decide What You Need and Choose the Location

Everyone indeed has different needs and preferences. Think about your choices and also the needs of the family members who are going with you.

If you are the one who wants to spend lots of time on the beach or if you like swimming, you should consider choosing the villas in Mykonos near the beaches.

There are mainly 3 locations for the villas:

  • Villas close To the Town– they are best for the people who like the chaos of the town and want to experience the nightlife there. It will be great to have your vehicle or rent one if you do not have one.
  • Remote Villas– these accommodations are located in secluded areas that offer a higher privacy and comfort level. If you are looking for this type of villa, you should arrange transportation to get there.
  • Villas Located On the Beach– they are the most popular types of villas, and they provide easy access to the beach.

Choosing the Villa That Provides Best Services

Make a list of the types of services and amenities that you are looking for. Then, you should pick up some of the best types of villas and check out the amenities offered by them.

You can get information about the amenities and concierge VIP services from their website. More amenities and services mean that you have to pay more. So, it is better to find out the services that you want only.

For example, if you like to eat outside every day, the BBQ facility in the villa garden is not needed.

Most villas in Mykonos have large bedrooms, spacious living rooms, gardens, private pools, and BBQ facilities. The size of the room you choose depends upon the number of members going with you.

How to Save Money on a Trip to Hawaii

March 26, 2021 by TJ Leave a Comment

Hawaii’s beautiful and gorgeous islands are a traveler’s dream; a tropical paradise truly worth visiting. You will never run out of exciting activities and fun things to do there. From fun and thrilling adventures, beautiful and lush nature, and pristine beaches to road trips and food adventures, Hawaii is surely a vacation destination of a lifetime.

As a world-famous travel destination, we may inherently think that a Hawaiian vacation will cost us a fortune. That may be true to others, but if you are keen on going to Hawaii without breaking the bank, there are easy and simple ways to save money on a trip to Hawaii.

That said, here are eight money-saving tips you can do if you are planning to visit Hawaii:

1. Book a Rental Home or Condo

Save money on accommodation by staying in an apartment or rental homes instead of a hotel. For one, vacation rentals are way cheaper than staying in a fancy hotel or a beachfront reservation. They’re also great because they come with kitchen and laundry amenities that allow you to prepare and cook your food and wash your clothes without paying extra.

Buying your groceries and cooking meals in your rented condo instead of eating in restaurants leaves you with the extra money you can spend on souvenirs and island activities.

2. Shop Wisely

When shopping around, look for vendor-type shops and pop-up stores as they sell their items at a lower price than those sold in the malls or your hotel. Scour around for discounts and promos on souvenirs and other noteworthy items. You can also haggle if you really want to have a good deal.

3. Travel Off-Season

The most affordable airfares and accommodations are offered during off-peak seasons. Hawaii’s off-season falls from mid-April to mid-June and from September to mid-December.

By booking your travel during the off-season, you can save a lot of money while still enjoying the best of the Hawaiian weather. Enjoying the island with fewer people is another great advantage of going off-season. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and walk the Hawaiian shores without being bothered by tourist traffic and large crowds.

4. Ship Your Car to Hawaii

Shipping vehicle to Hawaii is another great way to save money, especially if you stay for a more extended period. Car rentals can be costly if you intend to explore the island by driving. Having your car is a convenient way to go around the island without worrying about the gas and the excess dirt. Yes, car rentals in Hawaii do charge extra if you did not wash the car upon return.

You’ll be able to arrange your sightseeing schedules at your own pace drive around the island in the comfort of your own vehicle. Besides, a car rental in Hawaii is the third-largest expense during a Hawaiian vacation. Finding out how much to ship a car to Hawaii will allow you to save costs than going for a car rental with exorbitant mandatory fees and taxes.

5. Look for Free Island Activities

Although you are expected to spend some money on activities and tours, finding some fun and free Hawaiian activities won’t hurt. There is so much to do for free in Hawaii. Instead of going to packed and famous beaches, you can opt to find more secluded beaches with stunning views for free.

You can visit some historical sites and famous spots without having to pay an admission fee. You can head to a local music festival, attend a cultural event, and watch the sunset on the beach without having to pay anything.

6. Travel with Your Friends

Group travel is a great way to bond and spend time with your family and friends. It’s also a practical way to save on travel costs. Besides sharing your apartment rental fee, pooling your money to buy groceries and sharing your restaurant bill is also beneficial to your bank account’s health.

Just make sure you are with people you genuinely get along with. After all, your vacation is supposed to help you relax and revive your energy, not stress you.

7. Buy Food from the Local Market

Buying from the local market is an excellent way to find fresh and cheap produce. A local farmer’s market is a treasure trove if you hunt for unique and exotic items. Markets are also a brilliant way to know more about Hawaii’s local food culture.

Food trucks and food stalls selling local delicacies are found all over the islands of Hawaii. Eating their local favorites allows you to get to know more about authentic Hawaii without hurting your pocket.

8. Travel Safely

We can’t stress this enough. Stay safe and healthy when you are traveling, not only in Hawaii but anywhere. Being sick or getting injured while on vacation is expensive. Even with travel insurance, hospital and doctors’ fees are pretty expensive.

Don’t do foolish and stupid things just to get a photo. Be mindful of your surroundings, and ask for help and advice from locals, especially if you visit a particularly dangerous area or spot. You can never be too careful when traveling, so take extra precautions and be healthy. Don’t forget to drink your water and eat your fruits and veggies.

Bringing first-aid medicines can also be of help to relieve allergies and mild fevers, and body pains.

Hawaii can be an expensive travel destination. However, with thorough planning and money-saving practices, you can make your Hawaiian dream come true on a budget.

7 Travel Hacks for Long-Term Wanderlust

March 19, 2021 by TJ Leave a Comment

Any sort of exploration for an avid-traveler is going to be exciting, but long-term travel is where it can get even more interesting. If you’re planning to head out to a new country for a significant period of time — or maybe you’re planning to country-hop over the course of a year or two — then there are many key arrangements to make for your travel, your personal circumstances, and the home life you’ll be leaving behind for a while.

  • Save as Much as Possible

Long-term travel is always going to need a substantial amount of savings, both for your actual activities and also as an emergency buffer. It’s, therefore, a good idea to save up as much as you can before actually setting off on your travels so that you have more financial security.

  • Make a Decision on Your Employment

Depending on what your employment situation is, it may be that you’re entitled to long-term leave with a job waiting for you when you return from your travels. Perhaps you have to give up your job instead in order to travel. Maybe you’re even planning to pick up paid jobs along the way.

Whatever you have planned, make sure you’ve arranged your employment and income situation before you leave.

  • Keep Someone Back at Home Base Updated

Make sure someone you know who lives back home knows what your plans are, with regular updates. Long-term travel — especially solo travel — can take you away from everyone you know for a long time, so keep in touch with at least one person so that they know you’re safe and where you intend to head next.

  • Rent Out Your Home

If you’re paying a mortgage on a property that you’re planning to vacate for a long time in order to travel, you may want to consider renting it out. This means you have a way to pay the existing mortgage charges every month without having to pay for them while not living at home.

You can always store any personal belongings in a self-storage unit, like the options with www.storagearea.com, in order to clear the property for a tenant or simply to protect key personal items while you’re away, as many storage areas have great security in place.

  • Take it Slow

Long-term travel is exciting, but it doesn’t have to be a sprint. Don’t be tempted to cram in as much as possible; instead, take it at a healthy pace and make sure you make time for rest as well as sight-seeing so that you can look after your wellbeing.

  • Keep it Simple

Travel is always easier when you have less to worry about. Plan to take as little as possible, so you don’t have to battle with heavy, ongoing luggage. Live simply and minimalistically whilst traveling to save on energy, stress, and money.

  • Keep Your Belongings Safe

Your phone, your cash, and your passport are going to be essential for long-term travel. Make sure to always keep your belongings safe, whether on your person or in a dedicated locked safe within the accommodation.

Final Thought

Make sure you can relax and enjoy your travels by taking the right steps to protect yourself and plan for the best.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Becoming an Expat

February 14, 2021 by TJ Leave a Comment

Are you considering your future? Are you weighing up the pros and cons of becoming an expatriate? Moving abroad and starting a new life is a huge decision. But it can be one that is rewarding for a lot of people. For others, it can be a mistake and they want to come straight home.

In order to ensure that being an expat is the right move for you, you need to sit down and consider what benefits you will gain. You also need to think about the negatives. To help you out, we have created some advantages and disadvantages to consider before becoming an expat.

Airport, Transport, Woman, Girl, Tourist, Travel

The Advantages of Being an Expat

One of the main reasons why people want to become an expat is to experience a new culture and to travel. Indeed, you can enjoy a new beginning with your family and go on an adventure. You have the opportunity to live somewhere brand-new and learn more about yourself, taking on new challenges. There is a lot of personal growth that can result from taking a risk and becoming an expat.

People assume that living abroad is expensive. But this is not always true. In fact, a lot of expats enjoy a lower cost of living when they move. They can spend less on accommodation, food and drinks, as well as healthcare. In particular, when you have a pension, your money can go further. Always seek QROPS advice to maximize your savings and ensure you are efficient with your hard-earned cash.

In addition, as an expat, you can make new friends abroad. These can be friends for life and people you would not have met if you had now travelled somewhere new. A lot of countries have large expat populations, which means that you are not only limited to locals. You can meet others around the world that are an expat just like you.

The Disadvantages of Being an Expat

When you go on vacation, you experience all of the best bits of a country. From exploring the local shopping to relaxing on the beach, your vacation destination can seem like the dream getaway. However, becoming an expat and moving to the country can be vastly different.

While some people thrive in a new country, others quickly realize they are somewhere drastically different from home. In other words, they suffer from culture shock. You can struggle as an expat to settle in and adjust to a new way of living. In addition, there can be language barriers that separate you from the locals and you may be unable to make new friends. Sometimes, this can be overwhelming for expats and the new country may not feel like home.

In addition, there are some countries where you can enjoy a lower cost of living. But this can also be accompanied by a lower standard of living. This may not be somewhere you want to raise your family or retire. It will be down to you to do your research so that you are not in for any shocks.

You might need a hotel that stays near to your work location or if you are unsure of where you move around in the city, it is advisable to prefer the hotel located in the center of the city to have good connectivity. Especially when you are traveling with family, considering the location is highly important as this might help you not to travel over a long time to reach once after you are done with the work.

Assure the hotel is located in a safe area or within the walking distance to the major locations you plan to visit.

  • Budget-friendly

With the overwhelming list of best hotels in Chennai, all those won’t fit your budget. So it is necessary for you to need to consider the hotel that best fits into your bill while you booking the hotel. Check the amount and taxes that will be included before booking the hotel over the phone and check if they charge the extended room hour service, laundry service, etc.

  • Hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel

  • Friendly room features and amenities

The hotel should be equipped with all the basic amenities such as spacious ventilated rooms, bathrooms, laundry services, wifi connections, Television, room services, and parking facilities. When you are traveling with the family, assure if the hotel contains large rooms where there are enough beds to take rest. Also, check if they can provide additional pillows and beds for kids and a hot water facility before booking the hotel.

Few hotels in Chennai provide activities centers such as indoor and outdoor gaming areas such as tennis courts, cricket nets, or carom, table tennis, chess, and other gaming centers and so check into the facilities before you book a hotel.

  • Friendly staff

Friendly staff in the hotel is 100 times more important than having the free wi-fi, or other amenities. While on the other than cleanliness and comfortability falls next in the list than food and luxury of the room. So look into the reviews of the hotel where they have mentioned the friendly staff members and the way they treat the guests before booking the best hotel in Chennai.

When you wanted to book the best hotel or branded hotel in Chennai such as Taj, Marriot, Hilton, Hyatt, etc. book them over the phone directly. When you book directly through the global hotel chains, you can earn loyalty points and status. This might also help you to know more about the hotel and the details of the facilities you need to enjoy in the hotel during the stay. For instance, if the pool is under maintenance, direct contact might help you to know the information, while you might not know by booking through the other sites.

Conclusion

From the booking point of view, risks and discomfort can be avoided when you compare the hotels and check for the reviews online. It is no wonder that travelers pay attention to the cleanliness and other lavish facilities in the hotel, while the good location fulfills the needs to feel connected to places. The above tips in mind can help you to book the best hotels in Chennai and also help you to relish your memories later.

The Cleanest Cities to Go For a Holiday

August 24, 2020 by TJ Leave a Comment

You don’t need to be a germaphobe to appreciate the beauty in cleanliness. One of the most attractive aspects when visiting a place on earth is how neat and well maintained the area is. Who would ever want to take their next vacation down to a dumpsite? Since cleanliness is considered next to godliness, many cities around the world look to take a step further in combating pollution. However, only a few cities have reached the heavenly status of being ranked as the cleanest in the world. The following are regarded as the neatest cities across the globe.

Copenhagen, Denmark

Regarded as one of the cleanest places in Europe, Copenhagen attributes its status in neatness from the residents using bicycles for public transportation as opposed to private cars. Regarded as the happiest city in the world, the city is an attractive tourism destination for would-be travelers. With low carbon emission, clean canals, and passion for recycling, visitors will be generally pleased to take a tour around the town.

Reykjavik, Iceland

The Icelandic city is ranked as one of the top Destination Sustainability Movement cities owing to its use of geothermal energy. The purpose of this renewable source of energy has led to less greenhouse gas emissions, less pollution, and clean air. Reykjavik is surrounded by Icelandic waters that are regarded as one of the cleanest in the world. The country is also a global leader in the push for environmental reformations and has won prizes such as Nordic Nature for the cleanest city within the Nordic region.

Singapore

Known for its immaculate neatness and low crime rate, Singapore keeps strict laws when it comes to the issue of littering. Dubbed as ‘The Fine City” the country has laws banning the use of chewing gum, for example, attracting fines of up to 1000 dollars for possession! The government prides itself on the campaign efforts enforced to keep the city clean, spending millions of dollars yearly on sprucing up public spaces. This attracts many visitors who are left in awe of how well the country maintains its capital.

Calgary, Canada

Famed as the world’s cleanest city, the Canadian city is focusing its efforts on waste removal & recycling, traffic decongestion, water cleanliness, and reducing air pollution. Having a population of more than a million residents, the government’s measures to keep the city clean are astounding. Local non-profit organizations such as Green Calgary, have set up plans which encourage people to have better waste management. This makes it a definite place to visit, owing to the clean and serene environment.
